By default, Analog has to go through everything to generate a report. But it
can be configured to generate cache files that can be used to generate
future reports. Cache files are summaries of the information in a log file,
so they are much smaller than the original log file, but you do lose some
cross-referencing information - you can't get a list of the hosts that
accessed a particular page from a cache file, for example, as you can from
the original logfiles.
