Why are failed requests so high of a % ?
It is over 10% for our web-site every month and also over 10% on the
analog sample report. This seems very high.
Can you expand upon the reasons for failed requests (analog info
doesn’t say a lot on this topic).
analog reports what is in your server logs, regardless of what is
causing the failing requests.
You may want to take a look at your raw logs and determine for the
failing requests that you find why they were failing; this could be
anything from broken links on your site, misbehaving browsers, links to
non-existing content from another site, to failing server applications.
If you need help reviewing your logs you may find a helpful hand here
too, although a server specific newsgroup is probably more appropriate,
for example comp.infosystems.www.servers.misc,
comp.infosystems.www.servers.ms-windows or
comp.infosystems.www.servers.unix, depending on your platform.
