thanks a stack ... the wildcards did it.
there i was following the instructions in the .cfg file:
Specify the log file(s) to be processed. May consist of a list of file names
seperated by comma
and the file
name (but not the directory name portion) may contain wild cards ('*' and '?').
oh well ... thanks it sorted so i'm over that little hiccup.
