Hello,

Here's a simple one; If my LOGFILE is evaluted to *.log and my FROM=070301
and TO=070315 I get a report for those 15 days, but the analyzer reads every
log file first, then reports on only what I asked for. I have 2 log folders
(local logs & copies of remote logs) so my CFG includes LOGFILE paths for
each. So if I want a report on 15days, I'd like to read 30 files (tops) but
the logfolders may have 2 or three years worth of logfiles in them...

Can I use a wildcard AND control what logs are read? Why isn't the TO &
FROM used to reduce the load (why read files that are outside the requested
range?)

You can use a more specific wildcard (say, EX200703*.log) but analog
doesn't have any way to know what your naming scheme or rotation
schedule is, so it can't know what dates are in what logs without
looking.
