Today I downloaded Analog 6.0 as a ZIP file. Using WinZip, the files
were unpacked into a folder on my desktop. I then tried to install
Analog 6.0 as a program in my Windows XP computer.

When you unzipped the file, Analog was installed. There is no installation, per se, the program come ready to run as soon as you unzip the archive to a suitable location.

It would not
install. I then copied the files to a CD Disk and tried to install
the program. It would not install.

Again, when you copied the files to the CD, Analog was "installed" on the CD (though it would require some tweaking to get any output, as it defauts to writing it's output to the same folder that it runs from).

It appears that the Analog "graphic" exe cannot be recognized as an
executable file in my Windows XP Computer. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

If Analog.exe isn't recognized as an executable file, then Winzip screwed something up (if the zip file itself was messed up, Winzip should have noticed).

Download a fresh copy of analog_60w32.zip and unzip it. Personally, I'd uninstall WinZip - Windows XP supports .zip files natively, and will zip an unzip files just fine without WinZip.
