Wow- sure get some funny reports trying to do a monthly analysis
from last year.

the floor setting for "last month" (-00-01-00d) won't return me
anything since the log file is way too old.

I get a wacky 7day number (it was on by default for my regular
reports) and no chart of listing at all when I use the "last month".

Actually, I think you're not going to get any useful "date difference" information from a cache file - the whole point of a cache file is that it throws away much of the data that links specific requests to specific times. So the only "7 Day" information in the cache file is the information that was valid at the time that you created the cache file.

You can't change the report after you've created the cache file - cache files are really only useful if you know in advance what you want to include in your reports. If you're still figuring out what you want to include in your reports, you need to stick with the original data.

Q:Is there a comparable way to say say "thirty days from the last
day in the logfile" or something that will me close to a month to
make old reports?

For ordinary log files "now" is either right now, or whatever you specify using TO. If you want the last 30 days before February 1st, just add

TO 070201:0000

to your config file.
