Once all reports have been regenerated the official stats are updated, after some deliberately manual steps (vetting + manual run for deduped total editors)

But then some mishap occurred, the numbers were totally off, and informing me and asking what had happened, a big story was submitted to Signpost. Since then I'm a bit more cautious.
