I have to perform some scheduled maintenance on one of the analytics
MariaDB replicas
<https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Analytics/Systems/MariaDB> next
week under ticket T343109 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T343109>.
Specifically, this is the replica we have of the s2 shard
<https://noc.wikimedia.org/conf/highlight.php?file=dblists/s2.dblist>,
which is accessible through the s2-analytics-replica.eqiad.wmnet alias.
I have to rebuild this shard from a backup as a preventative measure.
I expect this shard to be unavailable for *a few hours* next *Tuesday
October 24th*, starting from approximately *09:30 UTC*, whilst the
rebuild is taking place. This downtime may affect you if you:
* Use the analytics-mysql
<https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Analytics/Systems/MariaDB#MySQL_wrapper>
wrapper from stats servers
* Use the wmfdata-python <https://github.com/wikimedia/wmfdata-python>
or wikimedia-discovery-wmf
<https://github.com/wikimedia/wikimedia-discovery-wmf> libraries to
read from the analytics replicas
