unfortunately the best we can offer right now is the "Pageviews Complete" dumps <https://dumps.wikimedia.org/other/pageview_complete/readme.html>. These should be much easier/smaller/faster to use than the old dumps, but only go back to 2011. To get data before that we have to process some of this legacy data and we are still waiting on a manager that's willing to prioritize that work. The current plan for the near future is to shape up all this data and release it in a public data warehouse. That would be amazing, and I'm gonna try and make it happen.
