i am afraid would people understand the meaning of the word if it would be translated to sigh? many people should to NHhM, it should be preached, but what would be the best english translation? i mean what would be the best english word to translate the word NHhM in those verses in which it has been translated metanoeo in greek and to repent in english? see jirmejahuw (jeremiah) 8:6, it helps to understand the meaning of the word NHhM i am sure that in the new covenant scriptures jahuwsu'a the masijach used originally the word NHhM , and it has been translated metanoeo in greek, as it has been translated in the septuaginta. metanoeo means literally to afterchangeconsider, but is there any better english word? i would prefer using some other word than the word to repent, because the english word to repent originates from latin, and it may have some burden of catholic church. i think the word to regret is also too superficial, it does not penetrate to deep enough in heart.
