A Dallas Theological person not agreeing is inevitable. They have their belief system and Systematic Theology and they don't sway let alone change their mind. Currently, there is a huge arguement between dispensational (which is their baby) and progressive covenant theory (new baby). And an arguement it is - whew! Being around religious types all my life and going to a religious college myself, I will witness that they will not change even a little once they have decided they are RIGHT. Even if your arguement is correct and researched they are not going your way.
Eastern thinking Jewish Scholars have spent many, many years with fences and guards on their knowledge - I don't think they are giving it up easily now. Many Jewish Scholars that you probably meet are AMERICAN and think western not eastern even if they say they are Jewish. So judge the person and their philosophy as you listen to them. Changing from Western to Eastern is a bit of a turn but makes so much sense that I can't turn my back on it. Right? I not sure we will get there before the LORD returns/comes but we must keep going in spite of the setbacks. I also teach my children and openly tell them that the vast majority of people will not believe what I am telling them. Still, I want to tell them so they can know it and pass it forward themselves. Think of it. What if someday we dig up the writings of Paul with autograph in Hebrew. Someone has to be there to make sense of it. Dee
