Psalms 2:12 is different in the KJV & the Hebrew Bible. It's missing in the Dead Sea Scrolls Bible.
KJV Psalms 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. The Hebrew Bible, JPS 1917 Psalms 2:12 Do homage in purity, lest He be angry, and ye perish in the way, when suddenly His wrath is kindled. Happy are all they that take refuge in Him. I went to the Dead Sea Scrolls bible, and in the same fashion as other areas of the Bible that are considered messianic verses, it has a symbol that means that [these verses were likely in the scroll originally, but fell prey to cave worms or the ravages of time] (exact words) Note: All 3 books agree in verse 7 speaking of G-d's son. The Hebrew Bible, JPS 1917'Thou art My son, this day have I begotten thee. KJV Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Dead Sea Scrolls. You are my son; today I have begotten you. Therefore, what is the original verbage of Psalms 2:12? How can I know for sure? Thank you.
