Hi, Rose -- You should consider using Hebrew Braille if the Tanakh and other materials are available to you in Hebrew Braille.
Hebrew Braille is somewhat simlar to standard Braille in that consonants that are pronounced the same have the same Braille representation. For more information about this, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_braille http://www.braille.ch/download/psheb-d.pdf http://www.hebrewvisions.org/ http://www.tiresias.org/research/guidelines/braille_codes/hebrew.htm http://homepages.cwi.nl/~dik/english/codes/braille.html#Hebrew and more Best regards, Izzy
