I hope this message gets "trimmed" from the original because there is a lot of 
"stuff" @ the end that doesn't make sense & it takes up a lot of the 
thread. :)

Ok Rich, I understand your point about "seeing" the picts but don't you know 
that only the King had access to the Torah? It was "read" to all Israel, but 
very few people got to "see" the word picts. So that doesn't make sense either. 
The words were always pronounced (from the beginning HE SPOKE) so we should be 
able to "speak" them (& we all know that w/out vowels, it's very difficult 
to speak...u can't say "cat" w/out a vowel & you can't say "shema, or 
sh'ma, without a vowel). 

I am getting more confused by the minute. :(
