Hi, When I looked up time I was a bit overwhelmed by "deprecated" statements. Which satements are we supposed to use?
The program needs to measure elapsed time and write a time value into one field in a database. Then it needs to periodically sum up that entire column in the database and act when a threshold is met. I think I could do this in awk, but need some vocabulary traction here.
