I must have overlooked the obvious. I am trying to figure out how to download and install an application (small) over the air. I could write an application to do so, but that would defeat the purpose.
So having a pristine android phone, how do I download and install an application. In MIPD we would create a Java download control file (JAD) that then would download and install the JAR file. What is the equivalent method to accomplish this in Android. When I use the browser, with the (virtual sd card installed) It tries to display the .apk file and gives me an error format not supported when I send the .apk as a .zip file. I must have missed something obvious -- help /BMT --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Beginners" group.
