That's pretty strange. One spot in the SDK docs suggest that's needed
for Context#setThreadPriority(), but I'm guessing you're not calling
that. hackbod said on Feb. 3 that "the RAISED_THREAD_PRIORITY permission
is not implemented in the current SDK", but that would have been for
SDKs before m5.

If your app is not too big, you might be stuck with the binary search
model of tracking down the source (keep commenting code until the error
vanishes, and the problem is somewhere in the last block you commented
out; lather, rinse, repeat).

Also, when you say "closing it", do you mean calling finish() from an
activity, or do you just mean popping back to the launcher via the back
button on the emulator? Or something else?

If you're not calling finish(), then your application isn't necessarily
"closing" -- the process may still be running, with the activity hidden
by the launcher or other launched activities. When you choose the
activity again from the launcher, you're just back at the activity
instance you left, near as I can tell, unless Android killed off the
process due to lack of memory. Calling finish() will positively close
your activity, going through the whole chain of lifecycle methods
including onDestroy().
