Hi All,

I have been tinkering with the Notepad V1 tutorial to try out a few
things. One thing that I did was put a background image in the linear
layout using the android:background attribute in the notepage_list.xml
layout file. This works as expected.

When I run the application, if I click the mouse and drag it, two
things that I cannot explain happen:

1.) The background image disappears as soon as I start to drag the
mouse with the left mouse button held down (I assume this is
simulating a finger drag on a touch screen). The image comes back when
I unclick the left mouse button.
2.) When I drag the mouse up, the list of notes scrolls down and when
I drag the mouse up, the list of notes scrolls down (this seems
counter intuitive to me).

Is there anyway to ensure that the background image is always rendered
when scrolling? The other thing that I can't determine is what the
orange color indicates? Does this mean that the element in the UI is
selected? Is there anyway to change this colour?

Thanks for any information people can provide.
