Hi Chris. Sorry, I thought I had responded to the mailing list. I'm definately thinking of a free ebook reader. I love reading and I'm stuck on ebooks (as opposed to books). I'm a huge advocate of DRM free material, and right now I'm using a kludge of an old palm tungsten E2 PDA with Tomereader. Before I can read any ebooks I find, I need to convert it to a text file, then run it through a program called makedocw in order to convert it to a .prc file for Tomereader. I'm very interested in Android because I feel that because it is an open platform, I can finally combine the uses I have for my PDA and my phone into one device. Primarily I am interested in creating a free ebook reader which could handle text or html ebooks, but even better would be an ebook reader that could also handle free ebooks as well as other proprietary formats such as pdf files. That would give the reader the ultimate selection of material to enjoy on their Android phone.
