Hey there.
I've made just a little progress since I posted this.

Plug your phone into your computer via USB.  Set your phone for
settings> applications> developement> for USB debugging

In eclipse open androidmanifest.xml under the application tab on the
left side of the screen is the "debuggable option" set that to true.

Now if you run, instead of the .apk installing and testing on the
emulator it installs and test on the phone. You can unplug it all and
the app will still run on the phone.

(Not quite what we need... but it's a step forward)

Also I have a guy on another forum who is convinced that I need to
sign the .apk files. I haven't figured out exactly how to do that yet.

best of luck. Oh and I should point out... I don't know what I'm
doing. I wouldn't suggest this stuff If I weren't doing it myself...
but I'm kind stumbling through it all.
