Thanks Mark for this information.
Although this isnt exactly what I am after it did however enable the
spannable feature to work which is strange. I cant use the linkify
class (I dont think) because I wont be linking to emails or web
addresses which is what the linkify class does. I am trying to write
an app similar to Tomboy which links notes to each other notes with
automatic highlighting of titles etc etc
But as I said using linkify on the text at the same time did enable
the URLSpan feature to work!, this tells me that there is something
else that I need to do in order for URLSpan to work on its own. I did
find the following while googling:
android:linksClickable="true"
but this does not seem to make any difference.
Anyone have any ideas what I need to do to enable these clickable
callbacks?
