Hello again...

I was wondering if anyone has any good pointers (oh boy I've been
doing too much programming... almost slipped a java joke in there!) to
some in-depth tutorials on how to generate and analyse graphics in
java.

Tutorials specific to android would be a huge bonus, but I understand
that with the youth of the platform, and various other competitive
reasons, these are few and far between.

I have looked at the lunarlander project, and the API demos, but I am
looking for something starting at a slightly lower level. I see things
like canvas and paints, and procedures to create and use both, but
it's not really explained particularly well (if at all).

Ideally I'd like information on how to import a bitmap (or any image),
draw simple shapes on it (either add to it, or as an overlay), and how
to get RGB values for pixels within it.

Thanks for any help you can give!
