Perhaps a bit late to be replying to this post, but I think this link might be of interest to you: http://springframework.me/ I haven't tried it out myself yet, but from what I've read this framework will provide the dependency injection you are looking for while limiting the memory and processing overhead to zero by moving everything to compile time.
Not sure how easy it will be to integrate with the android sdk though as they are using maven to do code generation.
