Toast is just a quick - automatically disappering message to user.
In your example, as it alreadys states in TODO part, you are assumed
to assign a proper path to your "path" variable - for audi file.
Then you should check if provided path exists. If it is not, code
shows a quick Toast message to user and still sets path to media
player (mMediaPlayer.setDataSource(path); )
You may also need to change this part.
/**
* TODO: Set the path variable to a local audio
file path.
*/
path = "";
