Not sure why a "standard" program would do that.
I have encountered this error when trying to build an Android
application containing external JAR library references.
Does your standard email program have any external library
references?  If not, does it contain the necessary reference to the
Android Library?  (Look in: Project>Properties>JavaBuildPath>Libraries

Haven't figured out what the problem is yet (it just happened).
Let me know if you do...
