If you are using HttpClient, yes.

If you are using URLConnection, I think so.

If you are using anything else (raw sockets, WebView, etc.), no.

And all of those assume we are talking about *your* application. There
is no means outside the firmware to modify the behavior of *other*
applications' HTTP requests.
