I can't get the Debugger to work. I'm using Eclipse and the 1.5 version of the Android SDK software.
The problems is that (it seems) Eclipse and the emulator can't agree about which port to use for debugging. The Hello Android example runs fine, but ... At the start, while Eclipse is loading the Emulator I get the message "Failed to reopen debug port for Selected Client to: 8700" Later the console shows "Can't bind to local xxxx for debugger" xxxx is repeated from 8600 to 8616, several tries for 8616. In the Eclipse Windows >> Preferences I can set the adb debugger base port from its default 8600 to something else but it never seems to take the new value. I've tried uninstalling Eclipse and reinstalling it, to no effect.
