Like I told you do NOT need to get the numbers in the Java code. You can
simply specify the rotation point to be 50% of the view or 50%p (50% of the
parent.) Here's an example from the ApiDemos:
    <scale
        android:fromXScale="1.5" android:toXScale="1.0"
        android:fromYScale="1.5" android:toYScale="1.0"
        android:pivotX="50%" android:pivotY="50%"
        android:startOffset="200"
        android:duration="100" />
