Coming from a C/C++ background with some experience in other higher
level languages (ActionScript, C#, Python, etc.) I found skipping the
Java tutorials and going strait to the Android tutorials wasn't a
problem. There were some parts where I had to Google Java questions,
but for me (with my background) figuring out whether my question was a
Java question or an Android question wasn't that hard.

However, for someone with less overall programming experience and/or
less experience working with different languages figuring out the
difference between an Android question and a Java question may be more
difficult.
