An intent is an instruction you send so the system will perform an operation. You pass in a command in the form of a context string, such as "android.intent.action.DIAL", along with some data, like "tel:01234567890".
See here: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/content/Intent.html An IntentFilter is used to match available intents against a set of conditions, you can use it to find Intents that handle MP3 audio playback for example. IntentFilters are often injected from the AndroidManifest. See here: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/content/IntentFilter.html Regards, Sean On Wed, Jul 22, 2009 at 11:57 AM, saurabh sinha<[email protected]> wrote: > > what is difference between intent and intent-filter in android > > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Beginners" group.
