An intent is an instruction you send so the system will perform an
operation. You pass in a command in the form of a context string, such
as "android.intent.action.DIAL", along with some data, like
"tel:01234567890".

An IntentFilter is used to match available intents against a set of
conditions, you can use it to find Intents that handle MP3 audio
playback for example. IntentFilters are often injected from the
AndroidManifest.
