i'm using an htc dream (g1) on at&t. i bought a used t-mobile version and paid the $15 to unlock it.  note that the g1 doesn't do 3g on at&t. t-mobile and at&t use different 3g bands :( in the US, there aren't many options. if you don't want the dream, you can pay +$500 for an unlocked HTC magic, or get it from t-mobile for $199 and get in contract with them for 2 years.

by the end of the year, there should be 2-3 more US phones running android.

Hello;
I have just begun developing for the Android phone and all of my test
have been on the emulator.   I realize I need to get a real phone, but
I am not sure which one I should get.  I have AT&T service and they do
not have an Android phone to date only iPhone.

Could someone recommend a phone that I may purchase that will allow me
to test my application while also using it as a phone with my current
AT&T service?
