Hi, Any clue as to the solution on this? I am having the same issue, though my method of sending the location information is different. I am loading a gpx file which contains elevation information into eclipse. When I play the gpx file in eclipse, latitude, longitude and time definitely change in the new Location, but calls to getAltitude() always = 0.0. I have added the permissions ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION and ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION but it didn't make any difference. I assume this mechanism is broken in the emulator or in eclipse, can anyone at least verify that calls to getAltitude() works correctly on the actual phone? If it works on the phone, then I won't worry about testing this.
