I have a game concept for my first true android game, but I am not sure how to implement it. It is a side scrolling game, so almost every element is moving each frame. Would it be best, from a resources standpoint, to have one canvas for the entire screen redrawing every frame or for each element to have its own canvas layered on top of each other and manipulated individually? There seems to be trade offs either way. I just don’t know what is best or most commonly accepted method for games. I am super new at android development so please feel free to go into detail if you need to. Thanks in advance.
