It already works with the Media content provider, so it should work with yours, if you set it up properly. All that being said, you may consider what your end functionality will be. Third-party activities are pretty much sealed boxes. The more you find that you are having to try to twist your code to work with those boxes, the more likely it is that you would have spent less time building your own UI. For example, if you decide that you want to add a custom context menu, or a custom option menu choice, or even just change the title bar, you won't be able to. Every minute you spend trying to get your content provider working is a minute you could have rolled your own UI and had total control. In this case, I suspect the activity you are reusing is open source, so you could even consider using that source as a starting point for your custom implementation.
