Thanks for the info. Creating your own GPS calculations doesnt seem to be possible with the iPhone. Because of those API restrictions.
Did I interpret your answer correctly, that it is possible to create a more precise GPS tool on the Android, because you can define your own parameter/rules? E.g. update every 1-2 seconds and throwing away any fixes that are off by, lets say, 50m?
