I am having the same problem. I am using Eclipse and the 'hello world' app appears to compile fine. However once the emulator comes up it just shows the text "android" in the center of the window and nothing happens. This seems like something really dumb. I followed all the instructions to a 't' and I got no errors. However I do not see the "hello world" text anywhere. Please advise.
