The output of the commands looks fine to me. Do you know whether you need to access the internet over a proxy? If yes, then use also the proxy settings for the emulator.
+ You could also try to connect to a server which is running locally in your LAN. For example install Tomcat and try to access the server using the emulator. + What happens if you run the emulator on 1.5 or 2.0?
