I think the moderators may have been in a well deserved turkey coma
for the last couple of days.
I have learned that programatically changing text size works fine on
the phone. The difference between the emulator and the phone are
still a mystery for me.
If you use the call:
Button b = (Button) findViewById(R.id.clearBtn);
b.setTextSize(TypedValue.COMPLEX_UNIT_PT, ptSize);
