A ContentObserver is only notified when something changes, but not
*what* changed. What is the preferred method of finding out what
changed?

The only way I can think of is to store some sort static ArrayList
full of callbacks that get called with changed(Uri), deleted(Uri),
added(Uri), etc, and then create a wrapper object around the
ContentProvider to notify these callbacks, but this seems less than
optimal.

What is the preferred way of going about something like this? Why is
the ContentObserver not notified of *what* changed?
