Thanks for your reply. You're right, that workaround doesn't work on another Win XP PC I just tried. On that second machine, the fix described in other posts worked i.e. those about ....-> Java Build Path -> Order and Export : ensure Android 1.6 is checked(ticked) below the src and gen folders which have green boxes. However that made no difference on the first PC where I must restart Eclipse after Project->Clean (well, I just don't do clean!) to kill the buildpathproblem Both machines Win XP with SP3 with Sun java_ee_sdk-5_08-jdk-6u17-windows.exe Grrr! after I fix my "build-hassle-of-the-day" I have lost time to do any real work Still, when eclipse works it is brilliant. I considered the old command prompt method but don't want to Is everyone moving over to that new stackoverflow site?
