Hey.
I want my application to show up in the selection list that pops up
when you "share" an image. This works fine with the following intent
filter in the manifest:
<activity ...>
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.SEND"/>
<category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"/>
<category android:name="android.intent.category.ALTERNATIVE"/>
<data android:mimeType="image/jpeg" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
However, this does only work when put within my main activity. The
exact same filter doesn't work in a <service> section, my application
won't show up in the selection list. But since I want my application
to silently process the image I need a service to listen for the
intent, not an activity that pops up a window. Any ideas on what I
might be doing wrong?
