Hi
I'm using eclipse Version: 3.5.1 with ADT on debian. I've built Hello
World. No problem; however, I can't shut down the emulated device. I
press the power off button, which leads to a window with 4 choices.
One is power off which I select. This gives a message saying: 'Your
phone will shutdown'. I select OK which leads to a window which
displays 'Power Off' Your phone will shut down. at the top and a
graphic which appears to indicate that the shutdown is underway.
Unfortunately, it never completes.
If I kill the emulator, when I restart, the emulation begins in a
state which shows a clock, a message that it is charging (50%), an
open lock, a sound icon, .... In this state, the Hello World message
never appears - at least I can't figure out how to get the device into
a state where it will appear.
In order to get back into a state where the message will appear, I
have to recreate my avd using: android create avd --target 2 --name
my_avd --force
Can anyone shed some light? Thanks.
