An error? You'll need to post more details (like the actual error) or else no one will be able to help.
Here's a shot in the dark (since some folks at work hit this today): when you create the AVD you can target (for example) "Android 1.6 - API Level 4" or "Google APIs (Google Inc.) - API Level 4". Often you need the latter version to get the API support or else apps won't run (and possibly won't even install, not sure).
