StackOverflow is perhaps the world's largest developer peer support site.
Tag your programming question there with the #android tag, and there is a
good chance you'll get answers.

That's 100% wrong. The -developers list is also for SDK programming
questions. -beginners is supposed to be for beginning developers, versus
-developers for those asking more advanced questions.
