Hello all,

Very basic question from an Android newbie.

Thr seems to be 3 diff versions of ANDROID FRAMEWORK/STACK?
I have following doubts,

1. Differerent versions (Cupcake/Donut/Eclairs) seems to have
different application support. Are these different versions of Android
bound to any specific linux kernel versions?

2)If NO, Can i plugh in any of android version to a linux kernel of my
choice? I mean can i download any of android version (android stack
only no kernel) and later plough in this to kernel of my choice?

3)What are the interface in Android stack, where i can use to plugh in
and out with a linux kernel of my choice?

4)The basic one, i can just download full android stack + linux
kernel..no seperate entity exists, is it true? If Yes, Whr that kernel
source is put in dir structure?

Regard's,
Ashish
