The latest ones, I think, has a running services and activities manager that lets you see which apps are running. There's also the option to see what's using the battery (About -> Phone -> Battery, or something like that). There are also plenty of apps dedicated to resource management that you could play around with. > and switch between apps other than just using the back button - and > is there a corresponding "forward" button? You can toggle back and forth between 2 or more apps fairly quickly this way. In general, I would suggest just sitting down and playing with your phone to try to discover this functionality. Navigate through all the screens, press the options key everywhere, press and hold on anything you see, etc. Same goes for any apps. It's sad that this is what it comes down to, but you can discover a lot about the phone by simply experimenting. For example (Nexus One): * Press and hold the Search button to start voice search * Press and hold the Menu button to open the virtual keyboard * Press and hold the Home button to see a list of recently used apps * In the default browser, press and hold the Back button to bring up the History And so on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TreKing - Chicago transit tracking app for Android-powered devices http://sites.google.com/site/rezmobileapps/treking -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Beginners" group.
