Hi,

Could any one say what is the difference between kernel branches that have
"-release" name and the one that doesn't?

Example 1: Android O + Kernel 4.4,
android-4.4-o
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.4-o>
android-4.4-o-release
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.4-o-release>

Example 2: Android N + Kernel 4.4
android-4.4-n
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.4-n>
android-4.4-n-release
<https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/common/+/android-4.4-n-release>

Regards,
Vishal
