I got the same problem and there's no verbose.log.gz in my out dir, I don't know why, but I can offer some clue, this happens when I change some overlay xmls and modify the overlay order in device.mk. I got a intel i7 CPU, 16GB memory and 1TB ssd. The top shows I never seen AOSP generate ninja files that long.
The important thing I find is that if I use ctrl-c to terminate the build procedure, the ckati process will remains, and if I restart a build procedure, there are two ckati process and each of them takes 100% of cpu power, but the build will still stuck at "generating..." -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "Android Building" mailing list.
