I am building an x86_64 device based on AOSP. Currently, I am using a prebuilt kernel, and everything works. Still, I wonder if I can stay with this kernel for production? What are the risks of using a kernel from the official AOSP tree, compared to building my own from sources? What are the advantages of having the kernel rebuilt? Maybe, I can customize it a little bit on the way?
