Alex Pisarev's last posting (see below mine) got hijacked...but in a
fun way. Still I thought his question was great so I wanted to
restart the thread to see if we could get more input around it:

I would agree with most of Alex's selections & would add these:

II) Other useful location-based applications
GolfPlay - Personal GPS Caddie
www.inizziativa.com/GolfPlay/
 - Although not a golf player myself, this app would make several of
my friends happy.

Android Scan
www.jsharkey.org/blog/2008/04/14/android-scan/
 - The Japanese have had this function forever...about time we finally
get something similar. It may not have GPS or use much of Android's
specific functionality but it's still way cool.

III) Games
Ok...I have to comment on the games. I really like Parallel Kingdom's
idea...execution is gonna be a bitch though. WiFi Army has potential
but not if they really rely on using a camera phone to capture a
kill. Seriously...is taking a photo the best use of the technology
here? There are way more clever ways to determine game death (hint
hint).

DEV TOOLS
I would place Game Creator for Android here (www.youtube.com/watch?
v=Ag-_IXN7EO4). While their games didn't particularly impress me,
having a toolkit for quickly making games may allow others to create
something I would want.
